My First Brief

So I experienced my first brief for deployment tonight. They scheduled it at 5pm on a Friday night…apparently these people don’t live north of base. We go down there and were provided pizza and subs while we listened for the next three hours. It was interesting to hear some of the young wives (not that we have been married that long, but I’m pretty sure that some of these girls were 18 yrs old, and they think that marriage is just fun and games). We didn’t get much information about dates or times, but we got to hear about lots of the resources that are available. Now we just get to hurry-up and wait for more information. Oh well…we’ll just party while we can.
