Blizzard of 2010

For those of you who don't know Virginia got walloped with snow this weeknd...here's some proof. I'm sure I'll take more pictures this week so you can see the "Big Dig" and I'll post those as well. The most interesting part of the weekend was that we lost power Friday night and didn't get it back until Saturday night (we had a few housr Saturday morning, but lost it again). Mike got to use his big generator and we and our neighbors are very grateful!

This is our neighbors tree...it's usually about 4 feet taller.

The snow was so heavy that trees were laying down on the streets.

OK...so we were going to go "play" in some untouched snow...but we hit a wall of snow that was kindly placed there by snow plows...we got stuck!

We helped clear out several people from church. Here are the helpers.

...but on the up side...not all the streets are horrible.
