We have known for over a year that we wanted to start our family, but we didn't tell people and we didn't put deadlines on things because I don't really think that it is something that you should get stressed over (I think that just makes things worse). In the middle of that Mike went to Iraq...it kinda put things on hold. We found out at the end of January that we were expecting. We didn't tell ANYONE until Easter. We told our families and then we kept quiet. I guess we finally told everyone on Mother's Day. I was already 5 months, and I was starting to show a bit, so we were going to have to tell people anyway.
Many people were excited, and sad at the same time. Lots of family and friends have waited for us to start a family, and now we aren't even close to them.
My pregnancy has been fairly easy so far. I didn't have morning sickness, just a severe lack of appetite. I didn't really show until my 5th month. Other than occasional back pain I've been OK. Lately I have more pain in my legs (my mom says that's where she carried all her babies too), and I've joined the TUMS club. I've decided that no pregnant woman should have to share a double bed either...there is just not enough room! In the grand scheme of things my pregnancy has been pretty easy, and that's about it.
SO...lots of people have asked for pics of my big belly...here it is! This is at about 33 weeks. I know I was showing before I left the states, but I'm showing much more now! 6 weeks does that to you.
I'm noticing the belly more now. When I walk I feel like my belly proceeds me into a room. Other than sleeping comfortably I haven't really had any problems with the belly, but I think cutting Mike's hair will soon become more difficult.
The other question I get all the time is "Is it a boy or a girl?" As most of you know, we didn't find out, so we are waiting patiently just like you. We haven't picked names either. Sooner or later we will have to I guess. As for now, I'd love to hear what you all think...Boy or Girl. Leave it in the comments :)
I need a front picture before I can make a guess as to boy or girl.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... boy or girl. I dunno... I am leaning towards a boy.
ReplyDeleteAdam and I were sharing a double bed when I was pregnant and it just didn't work. We'd share a bed until it was time to sleep and then I would head out to the next room to sleep in my own bed and read since my heartburn was usually irritating me.
I'm going with boy... Don't know why - it just kind of feels right! Glad all is going well!!
ReplyDeleteIf you are lucky girl, I don't wish boy on anyone as their first child. It is like having a goat in the house.

Of course, my husband would refer to our boy as a goat!
ReplyDeleteCute belly!!! Can't wait to find out what you are having!
ReplyDeleteI think it is both boy and girl. magical twins at the last minute.
ReplyDeleteBoy or girl- you look great!!
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing a boy. That's just my gut instinct. Congratulations on your little blessing!
ReplyDeleteI think it will be a boy. Good luck for the last couple of weeks! ANd i cannot believe that you never had morning sickness. I was soo freaking sick all the time with both kids.
